Spiritual Science with Steve Taylor

On Tuesday, September 18th, join us for an hour with Steve Taylor. He is a senior lecturer in psychology at Leeds Beckett University, and the author of several best-selling books on psychology and spirituality. His latest book is titled, Spiritual Science. Tune in and learn about “panpsychist” view of reality that transcends both conventional science and religion, and answers many of the riddles that neither rational science nor religion  explain.

For the last four years he has been included in Mind, Body, Spirit magazine’s list of the ‘100 most spiritually influential living people.’  In 2017, we spoke with him about “The Leap,” published by New World Library.  His other books include Waking From Sleep, The Fall, Out of the Darkness, Back to Sanity, and The Calm Center. His books have been published in 19 languages, while his articles and essays have been published in over 40 academic journals, magazines and newspapers, including Philosophy Now, Tikkun, The Daily Express, The Journal of Humanistic Psychology and others. He regularly appears in the media in the UK, and has recently been featured on BBC Radio 5, BBC Radio Scotland, BBC World TV, and BBC World Service radio.

Eckhart Tolle has described his work as ‘an important contribution to the shift in consciousness which is happening on our planet at present.’ Steve’s book ‘The Calm Center’ was published through Eckhart’s own publishing imprint. This is also the case with his newer book, The Leap: The Psychology of Spiritual Awakening, published in 2017, which we will focus on during today’s show.
Steve lives in Manchester, England, with his wife and three young children.

Good Communication Begins with Great Principles

Join us on Tuesday, September 4th at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time as we focus on the topic of communication.  We are delighted to share the hour with Marion Grobb Finkelstein, founder of Marion Speaks — a training and consulting company that simplifies how managers and employees communicate with each other and with their clients.  Marion is sought out to assist and lead employers through the tangled knots of ineffective communication while replacing such strategies with professionally activated results!

We invite you to send in a text message about these prominent principles for effective communication:

Fairness: Treat people fairly; teach them to treat me fairly too
Interactive: Allow clients and their teams a chance to be heard
Small is beautiful: Capitalize on being a solopreneur and being nimble to respond to client’s needs
Responsive: When people reach out, answer them
Engaged: Listen to what clients want and are really saying (even if they don’t know exactly how)
Positive and passionate: … in helping clients communicate
Flexible and open: Remain willing to consider options not even known yet
Ethical: Do the right thing, even when no one is looking
Service-oriented: Come from a place of service, not ego
Authentic: Don’t be fake or misrepresent facts
