Join us on Tuesday when we bring back our friend, Patricia Ann Hansen, who has explored masterful ways to enjoy retirement. We started following her story when she bicycled across the US at age 70! Patricia says keeping healthy is the most important thing we can do for ourselves as we retire. At 75 today, she’s in good health and does not rely on prescription drugs, nor has she replaced hips, knees, or anything else.  She says, “I feel fortunate, but I also work very hard at keeping healthy.”  But one of her most important principles as to do with downsizing.  You see, Patricia volunteered to give up her home and put her belongings in a van.  You can find her house-sitting or spending some free time at a cabin or time-share, but you will not see her name tied to a mortgage.  “I have worked since I was 11 years old.  I love to travel — and I’d rather do that than spend my time with my possessions.”  Boldly, she would like to live to be 120 years old.  She professes, “Stuff is not important when you are sick or tired.  Spend time cultivating family and relationships.”  Retirement, she believes, is a perfect time for simplicity.
